Die Medien konnten nicht geladen werden.I was not happy with the sound quality of my Tiguan Discover Pro standard infotainment. The first thing I did – upgraded front door speakers and did sound insulation to front doors. This increased sound clarity a lot, but did not bring more bass (which I expected). I did not wanted to install big subwoofer box in trunk, so I came upon this JBL Pro Nano as it was one of few which can fit under front seat easily.The installation was quite easy. Installed new power wire from battery with a separate fuse. Had some issues with auto turn-on function, but found a good setup using remote wire from subwoofer and controllable 12V wire coming from the head unit. Later on a realised that auto turn-on from the high level output is not possible due to this head unit specifics. It turns on even you open a door, then turns off after few minutes. This could lead to quicker drain of car battery.The bass is quite strong as from such little box. It can even shake a floor a bit. When properly tuned it plays clean on loader volume. Do not expect very low frequency range sound from it. Also Tiguan’s head unit equalizer had to be tuned to remove nearly all lows and set the crossover of the subwoofer to lowest frequency and increase a bit bass boost on it. Then it plays as much lows as it can which sounds nice and clean (at least to my ears). Otherwise it could feel too boomy (too much mid-bass). I wish the crossover of the sub had a sharper characteristics so the mid-bass range could be reduced more.Remote control does the job quite well. The only disadvantage is too bright blue led (had to cover it with black tape).Overall I’m happy with the result and would recommend this subwoofer for anybody who don’t like big boxes in trunk but want some bass in car from factory sound system.
