I wasn’t sure which style would work best for our hoard of cup lids, but wanted a safer tip that just metal, so I picked these two tumbler lid holders and I am so glad. The soft tips truly do prevent accidental scratches, although there is a bit of open diameter lost in order to provide this lining, so that might be something that others should consider if the diameter space is the highest priority. Although each bar only has enough length to accommodate around 5-6 tumbler lids in my family’s collection, the weight is enough that I wouldn’t want to chance ripping the screws out from the cabinet due to exceeding the weight bearing ability. I used one for other styles of lids, like the plastic Fancy Coffee Bistro cups one son prefers and the other flat plastic lids with middle straw holes that I prefer, and I had to be careful about the lid size, but otherwise it works great for flat straw lids too. Our eldest has bigger athletic style tumbler lids which were too big to fit over the protective tip, but that’s not a deal breaker to me – just something to keep in mind. I appreciate the versatility for mounting these and how easy it was to organize an overwhelming area of our cabinet. It was also a great push for sorting our collection and seeing what cups still have lids (or vice versa for one lid somehow lol). I have no issues at all. I would caution that prospective buyers need to check what size they’re wanting to organize and how much weight works best for them. A simple idea with this having a safety tip added, so a bonus there for me, which was quickly taken advantage of by our boys and our eldest actually commented that this makes it easier to use his cups.
