I didn’t read the description very thoroughly and wasn’t expecting the brackets to be metal. As such I had to use an angle grinder to cut pieces, and while easy to install the whole process took several hours to complete. We also tried using a hand saw to cut the metal but it left the edge warped and bent out of shape and unusable, so I would recommend a power tool if you can afford one or borrow one. Otherwise this product will not work for you if you need an exact measurement.I used a double sided foam tape to install instead of the screws for a more renter friendly installation, and they seem to be holding up just fine. This also really helped with uneven walls, and I could just layer the tape to fill any gaps.I would recommend getting LED strips that have a higher bulb count than what I used, but I’m satisfied with the result.I was able to hide any gaps between the metal brackets by installing the acrylic diffuser strip past any cuts, and this created a seamless, continuous flow, and hid the gaps. (As pictured) This really sped up the process as I didn’t have to worry about installing the brackets perfectly level or flush to each other.
